This survey will not benefit you directly. Your participation in this community study will help local Jewish organizations to:

• Estimate the size and characteristics of the Miami-Dade Jewish community.
• Develop programs and services to address community needs and interests.

Your household was randomly selected from a list of households in your area. To create this list, NORC and the Cohen Center at Brandeis University used information from local Jewish organizations and publicly available data.

Yes. We would like to hear from you if anyone in your household is currently Jewish or was raised Jewish. If not, answering a few questions will help us to estimate the size of the community.

Yes. Your feedback will help the community to develop programs for everyone.

• In the box at the top of this page, enter the access code from the letter or in the email we sent you.
• Click on the link in the email invitation sent to you from MiamiJewishStudy@norc.org.
• Call 877-204-4658, tell the interviewer your access code, and they will ask you the survey questions over the phone.

• The survey is completely voluntary – you can choose whether to participate, and you can skip any question you wish.
• The survey may take about 30 minutes to complete.
• You can complete it in more than one sitting if you would like to take a break.
• The survey should be completed only once for your whole household.

• Any adult age 18 or older from your household can complete it.
• Your household is eligible if you live in Miami for at least 90 days each year.

All information is kept in password-protected files. These files are only available to the research teams at NORC and the Cohen Center at Brandeis University. The files will not be released to any outside organization.

Only combined data will be reported. Although data that do not identify individuals will be kept indefinitely and may be used in other research, all identifying data will be destroyed at the end of the project. While there is a minimal risk that your information may be accidentally shared outside the research team, we follow strict data security protocols to minimize the possibility that this could happen.

• If you receive an email invitation, you can opt out of future reminders.
• If an interviewer calls you, tell the caller you would like to be removed from the study.
